Your starter reply
0 characters
This is a starter, not an AI-written reply. It assembles a proven reply structure; edit it so it sounds like you. Ratingly's AI writer personalises the reply from your voice profile and the full review, and a second reviewer checks it before you approve.
What makes a good reply
Four rules that matter more than clever wording.
The generator follows these rules; keep them when you edit. They are also the rules Ratingly's independent reviewer checks every draft against.
Name the detail
A reply that mentions the dish, the room or the wait reads as genuine. A generic thank-you does not.
Do not argue the facts
You were not at every table. If the review is wrong, take it private rather than debating in public.
Never promise money
No refunds, discounts or free meals in a public reply. It invites copycats and can read as buying a rating.
Keep it short
Four or five sentences. Long replies look defensive and are less likely to be read.
How to use it
A useful reply in about a minute.
- 1Enter your business name, type and star rating.
- 2Paste the review, or the part that needs answering.
- 3Choose a tone and generate the starter draft.
- 4Edit one detail so it is unmistakably about this review.
- 5Copy it into your Google Business Profile response.
Example replies
Five stars
“Thank you, Sofia — it made our day to read this. The pistachio gelato is new this month, so there is another reason to come back. — The team at Ocean Grill”
Two stars
“Thank you for telling us about the wait, Marco. A booked table should not mean forty minutes at the door, and I am sorry it did. Please contact us directly so we can look into that evening. — The team at Ocean Grill”
Review with a health flag
“I am sorry your evening went this way, and thank you for raising it. We take food safety seriously and would like to look into this properly. Please contact us directly so we can speak to you and the kitchen team. — The team at Ocean Grill”

Questions
Generator FAQ
Is the reply generator free?+
Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no account and costs nothing. There is no hidden email gate.
Is it AI?+
This public tool is not: it assembles a proven reply structure from what you enter. Ratingly's AI writer, used inside the trial, writes a personalised reply from your voice profile and the full review text.
Will the draft sound like me?+
The starter is deliberately plain so you can edit it. To get your own tone, sign-off and house rules, start a free trial and complete the short voice interview.
Can I use the reply on Google?+
Yes. Copy it, edit it, and paste it into your Google Business Profile as the owner response. Check that every detail is accurate before you publish.
Should I reply to a one-star review?+
Usually yes. A calm reply is read by future customers more than by the reviewer. Keep it short, specific, and move the detail to a private conversation.
